The word rivalry is thrown around very often in sports. Steph Curry vs LeBron, Patriots vs Steelers, Serena vs Sharapova. Matchups where one side completely dominates the other every time they face each other, thats a rivalry right? Might as well add this to the list.
Odell vs Williams. Superstar Wide Receiver vs hard headed Defensive Coordinator.
I was looking forward to this game. There was a lot of hype from the media. Williams going up against his old team, Odell saying that Gregg Williams directed his players to intentionally injure him a few years back and just the fact that we got to watch Odell play prime time football in New York for the first time in years.
Everything was there for this to be a great game. We had the media clippings
We had Odell sporting a 2 million dollar time piece during warm ups (Williams entire 3 year contract is worth $1.4 Million)
Also check that visor! ODELL WHO???
That visor was so swaggy that the league made Odell take it off mid game (right when they were about to score, huh?)
Also what a wild move by Gregg to say that declaring Odell as one of the most dynamic players in the NFL was just 1 persons opinion. He is absolutely one of the most dynamic players EVER.
But as fate will tell it this game did not go well for Gregg Williams and his Jets defense, even if they were trying their absolute hardest to murder Odell on the field.

It was only a matter of time before Odell did what he does best, ignore the talk and ball out.
Just Odell being Odell. Electric one handed catches and dusting entire secondaries. Making plays on the field and being incredibly humble off of it.
