Imagine that, the Cowboys are in the news because one of their players did something off the field. Say what you want about the product on the field, whenever you see them in the news there is a good chance it’s not good news.
Today there is only good news.
Here we find the 2 time Pro-Bowler DeMarcus Lawrence walking through the parking lot, stunting after giving the work to their division “rival” the New York Football Giants. You see this dumb kid in a Saquan Barkley jersey approach DeMarcus looking to get a nice autograph and nice souvenir to take to his class Show and Tell this week.
DeMarcus acknowledges the child, takes one look at his jersey and hits him with the “Get the right jersey son”
Our hero took one look at him with pure disgust and brushes him off like he’s a Giants O-Line man, irrelevant.
The look of pure defeat on this kid and his feeling of despair is hilarious and something that he shan’t soon forget.
DeMarcus has since been hit with Internet backlash for dissing this kid and he responded as such.
Look, I get it, you have to show love to the kids and all that noise but come on… this one is on the kids parents that they would think this exchange would go over well. Who is this kid to think he could wear a Giants Jersey, Giants Hat and Giants Face paint(?) And still get an autograph by this superstar. Thats ABSURD!
That’s a level of white privilege only Eli has so it makes sense he would think this is okay.
It was time for this kid to learn a lesson that most people never learn:
Professional athletes do not owe you jack fucking shit. You think you can treat them however you want because you bought a jersey or bought a ticket or drafted them in fantasy. They don’t care they will be just fine with out you.
Now this kid has had a chance that few humans ever get, to stand toe to toe with a pro athlete. Most people the closest they get to that is when that athlete is running game on their girlfriend and you are trying to intervene before it’s too late and he takes her to the House (football reference, get it? Score!)
One thing is for sure from all of this is that his Giants fandom just intensified and he will be telling this story in bars when DeMarcus Lawrence gets inducted into the HOF
